Angus Chiang is as fresh as they come – the label was established in 2015 and has absolutely no inhibitions when it comes to the colour. Inspired by Taiwanese culture, this is about as far as you can get from the typical menswear trappings of dark knits and generic tailoring. AW17 was a riot of colour and a celebration of the unconventional, from the oversize lace up sneaker boots, to the skirt and blouse combos. We loved the rough edged tailoring hung from oversized shoulders. The boxy jackets with high waisted shorts or cropped trousers were perfectly awkward – matching head bands topped with tufts of colourful fuzz were all kinds of cute. The cool boy in his vibrantly shaded tracksuit, monogrammed, accessoried and bending all kinds of fashion rules, was the inspiration here.
