Rohmir is a reliable label for elegance – gowns, coats and separates that feel cool and modern but always seem to have a slight echo of Princess Grace. SS17 was no different, with vintage shapes and classic lines worked into contemporary style with boldly coloured prints and 3D textures. There was plenty of lace, a dash of tweed and a nod to the classic Chanel two-piece, plus a smattering of pale metallics and some glorious full-length semi-sheer dresses covered in tiny florals. The designer’s ability to tap into a femininity that matches classic beauty with unapologetic glamour and subtle modern detail is something that makes Rohmir a bi-annual catwalk favourite.
