Showing towards the end of Belgrade Fashion Week, Vlada Savic’s collection was a bright, bold wakeup call of block colours and feminine layers. Running the full gamut of shades, from deep blue, through to gelato pastels, consistency came from the ultra soft and feminine silhouettes that swirled, draped, hung and flowed around the models’ bodies on every look, providing a constant sense of movement. We loved the way that classically feminine style was given a contemporary update – a fluted sleeved gown broken up by modern colour blocks, a simple yellow A-line dress slashed with a curve of black. As was one of the collections that flashed the least flesh, the designs made some serious impact. It was a smart and creative demonstration from a designer to watch.
