Michaela Frankova SS18 London Fashion Week
London College of Fashion graduate Michaela Frankova showed a deeply luxurious and rich SS18 collection with an iconic vintage feel at Fashion Scout this season. Models made up with doll-like expressions and drawn on eyebrows shimmered in silver mini dresses and close fit satin or glowered in black lace and bonnets. Classic tailored silhouettes were interrupted by cut outs or crops, embellished, re-tailored or made sheer. Texture was everything, from the flutter of a marabou feather, to the swish of a floor length vintage printed shirt dress.
The colour white dominated - a luxe choice full stop - and the collection was heavy in metallics and broken up by looks drenched in hot pink or crystalline blue. There was so much detail to draw the eye, from tassels, to a heavily embellished mask, bell sleeves and tiny mini Elizabethan style ruffs. It was a bejewelled and bedazzling collection, a modern take on historical style notes with plenty of eccentric touches.
