HEMA KAUL Spring/Summer 15 - Vie en Rose
Hema Kaul SS15
Glamorous, bright lipped, big haired models strolled down the catwalk for Hema Kaul SS15, oozing poise and confidence. With her Vie en Rose collection the designer was sticking to what she is known for - enchanting and intricate pieces that create maximum impact. Kaul referenced poignant fashion moments from past decades adding her own ‘tropical’ twist for a contemporary perspective.
The collection saw nipped in waists, full skirt dresses and figure skimming pieces designed to show off the female form. Feminine, fun and flirty the dresses were bursting with fresh florals and classic vintage style, as well as some thoroughly modern hemlines to mix it up a bit.
Fabrics included printed organza, French tulle and lace and the colour palette was broad, incorporating pastels and splashes of bright sorbet. The collection was embellishment-heavy, including 3D flowers, sequins and a good dose of diamante.
