Yifang Wan AW13
Merit award winner Wan's AW13 collection at Fashion Scout was intelligent and future-forward yet stripping back garment, fabric and body to a refreshing simplicity. Draping and fluid oriental shapes in deep berry, black and blue-green made for a pared down colour palette. There was an almost stealthy violence punctuated by the dramatic chrome star body armour, which we adored. If like us, you love Margiela and Haider Ackerman, Yifang Wan is definitely one to keep an eye on.

Kiev Fashion Days
Kiev Fashion Days is a showcase for up and coming Ukrainian talent and last Sunday during London Fashion Week played host to creations by Anna October, Iuliia Paskal, Yasya Minochkina and Anna Kolomoets.
From Anna Kolomoets there was a flurry of texture, from ribbed shine, through to almost bunting like trim, with necks round and collars high. Yasya Minochkina offered up smart tailoring, flared from the thigh skirts and a blue and red velvet number that was somehow completely demure and pulse-racingly sexy.
Metallics dominated Iuliia Paskal’s collection, lighting up black tailoring in accents of peppermint and ice blue on lapels, jackets and shredded skirts. The metallics obsession was there too for Anna October although subverted to prim high necked dresses and chevron patterns were both outlandish and slightly Amish.
We particularly loved the high-necked tasseled coat from Anna October that had so much movement we almost went cross-eyed gazing at it.
