Isabel Marant for H&M

If you’ve been as excited as we have by H&M’s stellar line of collaborations in recent years – Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Lanvin and Maison Martin Margiela to name a few – then this latest one is really going to get your fashion juices flowing. It was announced today that Isabel Marant, Parisian designer, of ‘organic’ French cultured couture, has teamed up with H&M for a new collection this A&W. The collection is likely to be a mix of Parisian chic with bohemian detailing – according to Marant herself "I am creating something real, that women want to wear in their everyday lives, with a certain carelessness, which I think is very Parisian: you dress up, but do not pay too much attention and still look sexy. The collection is infused with this kind of easiness and attitude. Everything can be mixed following one's own instincts: my take on fashion is all about personality."
Following on from H&M’s coup of introducing David Beckham’s bodywear collection, complete with London buses plastered with images of Beckham in H&M boxers, this latest partnering with one of the fashion world’s most competent trend creators (wedge sneakers anyone?) is an exciting prospect. With Marant’s husband, Jerome Dreyfuss, a handbag designer we’ve also got some pretty high hopes for the accessories too.
Isabel Marant for H&M will be in stores on November 14.
